About Me

Favorite destination?

The ones that have not been explored yet. But right now, it is Budapest, Hungary.

Why is that your favorite destination?

I recently went to visit an old friend and I was incredibly fascinated by the culture and history of Hungary. It is one of those countries that might get a bad reputation being in Eastern Europe, but I was very intrigued. Budapest was one of my favorites and I absolutely loved it.

What destination is on your bucket list?

Bhutan, Australia/New Zealand

Why is that destination on your bucket list?

I had the privilege to host some students from the Kingdom of Bhutan at one of my old positions and I got to learn about their culture, history and about the only carbon negative country and how they measure everything based on Gross National Happiness.

Australia and New Zealand because I have family there and I have seen photos and they look amazing.

What destinations have you visited?

I have been to 20+ countries. I have visited half the continental U.S including Alaska but not Hawaii. I went to Jamaica as a kid. I lived in London for a few years and visited Scotland, Spain, France, Germany during that time. I had the opportunity to live in Switzerland and we visited Austria, Germany and other surrounding areas. I taught English in South Korea and Japan and during that time, I was able to explore Hong Kong, certain parts of China, Vietnam, Macau and more. Since COVID, my travel has been limited. I recently went to Germany, Romania and Hungary for the first time in years.

Why should someone book their vacation with you?

I have been in their shoes before. I know what it is like to plan a holiday starting from scratch. I enjoy helping people get out of the US and exploring something different outside of their comfort zone. It is the differences in life that make it wonderful. It is those differences that help people gain new perspectives and understand that we are all different and we need to embrace that, rather than fear it.

What travel industry certifications have you earned?

I am working to be certified in River Cruises, Europe and Exotic Destinations such as places in Southeast Asia.

Are you fluent in a language other than English? If so, what other language(s) do you speak?

I can speak basic German, Spanish and Japanese.

One thing you’d like our members to know about you?

I once led a group of high schoolers across Japan on a Japanimation trip
